Ken Warfield - Owner | Private Investigator

Ken Warfield brings more than twenty years of successful investigative experience leading high-profile investigations throughout the United States and Canada. With a B.S. in Criminology & Sociology from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, as well as an advanced 90 credit Master’s Degree in Counseling & Theology from Southeastern Baptist in Wake Forest, NC, Ken started his career with the Baltimore County Police Department in the auxiliary unit, leading to his graduation from the BCPD Aux police academy and becoming a sworn officer within Baltimore County Maryland for five years.

He continued his education, graduated from multiple interview & interrogation schools and became extremely successful in the private third-party high-level security industry, including many executive senior leadership positions at large corporations, where he helped to build and grow Loss Protection Departments while directly managing hundreds of resources. Ken has provided services throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada and has earned several advanced and instructor-level certificates in investigation and interrogations.

A sought-after speaker and instructor, Ken has worked in conjunction with multiple law enforcement agencies, both state and federal, and recently started training military special ops in tactical questioning and active shooter as a third party provider.

Michael McGregor - Partner & Senior Vice President of Operations

During his 20 years with the South Boston Police Department -15 of those years working as a special agent with a joint task force, Mike worked in several capacities including the Drug and Gang Task Force. He works with US Marshalls, DEA, and ATF and is a member of the Virginia Counter-Gang Association. While remaining on the state drug enforcement tactical team, Mike is a licensed Private Investigator who continues to serve as a Security Industry leader.

Bryan Young - Vice President of Administration

Bryan joined WIS in 2024 after 25 years of federal, state, and local law enforcement experience. He held many leadership roles during his years of service including field trainer, supervisor, manager, law enforcement instructor, Assistant Chief, and Chief of Police. Bryan brings extensive training and experience to WIS specifically in the areas of leadership, management and administration. He holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice, has completed the FBI-LEEDA trilogy training series, and graduated from the NACLEC Leadership Academy.

James Binner - Director of Investigations & Process Serving

During his 30-year career as Chief of Police and an honors graduate of the FBI academy, Jim brings a plethora of experience in multiple areas. Jim was a special agent in Virginia in an advance investigation until, firearms instructor, held multiple leadership roles (last being the chief of police for 15 years). Jim simply is one of the most well-rounded security professionals in the business.

Malcolm Bowen - Senior Director of Operations

Malcolm Bowen has over 10 years of law enforcement experience with the Halifax and Danville Police Departments. During that time, he was recognized multiple times for his outstanding enforcement and community relations efforts. Malcolm currently serves as the Associate VP and Sr. Director of Operations for Warfield Investigative Services, LLC, managing the School Security Officer program and multi-state security offices and contracts, serving as the organization’s training coordinator, and holding an active Private Investigator license.

Mike Compton - Chief Medic

Mikes is a sworn member of a joint tactical response team, and SWAT team as a medic and firearms expert. Mike is a licensed physician’s assistant as well as a conservative of the peace -which is a sworn member of the police department. Mike also holds his private investigation license and is considered an expert as a tac medic. Mike also has an extensive background in the US Army in special operations. We deploy Mike as a medic on critical executive protection details as a medic and logistics lead on all private investigations.
